About
Theory and practice depend on each other. The sort of theory that points beyond the present state lacks a corresponding practice and, orphaned, it is hardly theory at all.
We can make a careful attempt to remember what theory was, conserve its forms and manners, and use it to catalogue our impressions of the present with some playful detachment.
Not even messages in a bottle, but doodles on a napkin in a hospital’s waiting room.
